I am a graduate of the Master’s program in Recreation Therapy at SJSU. I have not worked in the field in 9 years. Not at all by my choice. I have seen 6 jobs in the entire time I have lived in Oregon. I have been out of any kind of work for 2 years. I loved getting my degree, but I really regret it. It seems obsolete. I have been frustrated and sad for so long. This is not how it was supposed to turn out. I do believe in the power of Recreation Therapy, but I am not so sure too many others do.
